On Dec 10, on behalf of Shining Star Group and Gold AYA Motors International Group, Chairman Yan Yu donated a vehicle to Consulate General of Myanmar in Kunming for its working utilization. The Consul General of Consulate General of the Union of Myanmar in Kunming, U Soe Paing expressed his warm hospitality to Chairman Yan Yu in the donation ceremony.

At 11:00 a.m., the donation ceremony started at Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming. Mr. Yan Yu delivered a speech at the beginning. He addressed that, along with the pace of China’s reform and opening-up, Shining Star group has made splendid achievements in Yunnan and China during the last 20 years. In 2013, President Xi Jinping has put forward the Belt and Road Initiative. With our own transformation and the window advantage of Yunnan to opening to the outside world, Shining Star Group took the step of "going global" and started overseas businesses. As the vital spot of Shining Star Group`s “going global” strategy, our group invested many projects in Myanmar, such as Yangon Kantharyar Centre, which is an urban comprehensive project; Gold AYA Motors in Mandalay, which was cooperated with BAIC Group. While pursuing self-development, Shining Star Group created more jobs for local residence and contributed to the development of Myanmar. Based on the operational requirements of the Consulate General, Shining Star Group donated the vehicle to provide working convenience to all officers and sincerely hope that the vehicle could make contributions in promoting Sino-Myanmar cooperation undertaken by Consulate General of Myanmar in Kunming. 

After then, U Soe Paing, the Consul General of Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming, delivered important speech to express his gratitude. He said, both China and Myanmar are making efforts to the Belt and Road Initiative. On December 7, the President Office of Myanmar announced the establishment of a Steering Committee for the tasks relating to the Belt and Road Initiative, which is chaired by State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi. Yunnan and Myanmar are connected by mountains and rivers, enjoyed close people-to-people bond and frequent commercial contacts, which is of great importance in the Y-shaped China-Myanmar Economic Corridor is irreplaceable. As one of the "going global" enterprises of Yunnan Province, Shining Star Group invested a lot in Myanmar and provided favorable conditions for Myanmar's development. We looking forward there would be more enterprises could invest in Myanmar, like Shining Star Group. With the continuous progress of Sino-Myanmar cooperation, the staff of the Consulate General of Myanmar in Kunming has been increasing. The donation is just about the time. We are grateful for Shining Star Group`s substantial support for us. The two sides held a vehicle delivery ceremony and took a group photo at the end of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, U Soe Paing, the Consul General of Myanmar Consulate General in Kunming, had a symposium with Yan Yu, the Chairman of Shining Star Group, and his team members. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the future development strategy of Shining Star Group, Myanmar's investment environment and other issues. Luke Lee, the President of Shining Star Group, Yan Jin, the Vice President, and Li Nan, Assistant to Chairman, attended the ceremony and symposium.
